Kolarctic CBC is a financing programme for supporting cooperation between the countries in the North Calotte (Finland, Sweden, Norway) and northwest Russia. The programme core region consists of Lapland in Finland, Norrbotten in Sweden, Finnmark, Troms, Nordland in Norway and the regions of Murmansk and Arkhangelsk and Nenets Autonomous District in Russia. The total budget of the programme is 63,4 million euros. Overall objective of the Kolarctic CBC is to promote a viable economy and the attractiveness of the region, where inhabitants and visitors are able to enjoy the arctic nature and where the natural resources are used in a sustainable way.

Karelia CBC is a cross-border cooperation programme creating an attractive region for people and business. The programme core region consists of the regions of Kainuu, North Karelia and Oulu in Finland and the Republic of Karelia in Russia. The total budget of the programme is 43 million euros. Overall objective of the Karelia CBC is to make the programme area attractive for the people to live and work and businesses to locate and operate.

South-East Finland – Russia CBC will contribute to economic and social development, mitigate common challenges and promote mobility among actors of regional relevance. The programme core region consists of South Karelia, South-Savo and Kymenlaakso in Finland and St. Petersburg and Leningrad region in Russia. The total budget of the programme is 72,3 million euros. Overall objective of the South-East Finland – Russia CBC to increase the importance of the area and corroborate the area to become the most efficient, prosperous and interesting hub and investment target in Northern Europe. The programme will also generate growth and well-being in the programme area and for its inhabitants.
